More About Rob

To start, I am 32 years old, and live in Mass. I am fortunate enough to be married to a fantastic woman, who not only tolerates my crazy ways, but also knows how to defeat me using my own logic. She is a lot of fun to be around! Below is her picture.

I have some real basic likes and dislikes:

I hate foreign cars.
I would rather push my Oldsmobile Cutlass than drive a Toyota Camry. I will not even rent a foreign car. Many people have difficulty understanding this. One time when I was renting a car, the rental agent made me a special offer of an upgrade from the Pontiac Grand Am I was renting to a Toyota Camry for only an additional $3.00 a day. I said no way. The smile left the rental agents face as she asked, in a surprised tone of voice, "Sir, this is a Toyota Camry we are offering." I repeated that I would under no circumstances rent a Toyota Camry, and I wanted the Grand Am I was told was available when making the rental reservation over the phone. The rental agent was shocked, saying I was the first person who had turned down the upgrade offer. I replied that if they only had Camry's to rent to me, and were out of Grand Ams, than I would have to go to another auto rental company to get a car. I drove out of the rental company in the Grand Am.

I love Oldsmobile Cutlasses ranging in years from 1978 through 1987, and including the 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Classic model.
I currently own 4 Cutlasses now, and have owned a bunch of different Cutlasses previously. Click here to view the list of my cutlasses

I hate Ohio.
I moved from Massachusetts in June of 1997 to Ohio. The reason for the move was for my wife's medical residency program. A "match computer" with a list of hospitals, determine which hospital each medical resident will attend. This match is based on hospital preference. As it turned out, the Ohio hospital wanted her very much, and beat out the other residency programs, including those in Massachusetts. The good side of this is that my wife loves her residency program, which made the whole thing worth it. There are many reasons why I hate Ohio. In fact, I hate it so much, I wrote a "top 10 list" of the reasons why I feel this way. Fortunately in July of 2000, we moved back to Mass. Thank goodness!

I like Corn Flakes.
In college, this was about all I ate. Everything that you need is in a bowl of Corn Flakes. My friend Frank felt that I ate Corn Flakes to a fault. I owned Cutlass 2 for about 3 years. When I parked this car at my mother's house, I planned on removing my tools and other items from the trunk. In the trunk, I was surprised to find a half empty family size box of Corn Flakes that I started at least 2 years before. Frank witnessed me take the box of Corn Flakes with my tools back to my apartment. I finished the box shortly thereafter.

I hate Northwest Airlines.
I have found with almost every Northwest flight I have had (sadly, I have flown them a lot) that my flight is always delayed. I have also been treated rudely by several Northwest Airline ticket clerks when checking in for my flight. Northwest likes to advertise their airline with the phrase, "some people just know how to fly." I believe that it is possible that some people know how to fly. However, it is most certainly NOT Northwest Airlines.

I love Star Trek, Star Trek Next Generation, and Voyager.
Always been a big fan of Star Trek.

I love internet multiplayer games.
Internet multiplayer games are great. My favorites are Need for Speed 3,4 & 5 by Electronic Arts and Quake 1 by ID Software. Never got into Quake 2 or Quake 3 very much, it seemed to lack the appeal of the original in my opinion. I used to run an intenret Quake team called Clan Seinfeld. We had a lot of fun and kicked some major butt. We only played at a server called Big Eds, which went offline sometime in late 1999. I have not played Quake since, and the team is officially disbanded.

Well, that's the basics. If you want to know more, shoot me an email.
