Here is a list of Oldsmobile Cutlasses that I have owned. This list in no way represents
all the cars I have owned, as that may be too dificult to document.
1979 Olds cutlass, color burgandy. V8 305 4bbl . Purchased with
55,000 miles. Totalled at 75,000 miles during the winter of 86 in a long
skid on ice. This ice lead me to a curb that was about a foot high.
Cutlass 2
1979 Olds Cutlass, color light blue (what was left of the paint)
V8 260 2bbl. Purchased with 142,000 miles. I blew the transmission at 162,000
after spinning tires on highways traveling 55mph by downshifting the automatic
transmission to 1st. Shocked many other drivers when doing this. I planned
on fixing this car and parked it at my mother's house. She sold it without my
knowledge for $30, and this event still pains my heart today. It hurt to see this car
repaired by the garage that bought (and sold) it. This was a Cutlass that
got away.
Cutlass 3
1981 Olds Cutlass Calais, color light blue. V8 350 4bbl bucket
seats, console shift, RS gauge package, power ying yang including moon roof,
rare marker light package. Purchased with about 180,000 miles. I blew the
transmission in this car along with many other parts after doing several jumps.
As I had no place to keep it, I had to tow it to the junkyard.
Cutlass 4
1978 Olds Cutlass, color grey with just about perfect paint, V8 260
2bbl. I purchased this car with my friend Frank. This car never ran under
it's own power but did coast pretty well with a good tailwind. After finding
this car had a blown engine, Frank and I ended up selling this car to a friend.
Unfortunately for our friend, after replacing the engine, he found that the
car had a blown transmission also. When our friend got through with this car,
it was perfect and ran for a long time with no problems.
Cutlass 5
1978 Olds Cutlass, color black, stock STANDARD SHIFT transmission
V8 260 2bbl, bucket seats, console shift, RS gauge package, and
T-Tops! Purchased with 135,000 miles The rods on this engine were
shot and produced almost 0 oil pressure. I put another motor in,
and this car was fantastic until the timing chain went. I chose
to purchase a 1991 Camaro Z28, so I sold this car for $400 to a
mechanic friend. He changed the timing chain, and drove this car
for years all over the US and Canada. I saw this car many times
after I sold it. I regret selling that car to this day. Visit the
Cutlass5 photo gallery.
Cutlass 6
1978 Olds Cutlass, color dirt, V8 260 2bbl - This car was completely destroyed
but had a good motor; Purchased for the engine only. Engine was used in
Cutlass 5. Visit the
Cutlass6 photo gallery.
Cutlass 7
1980 Olds Cutlass Calais, color burgandy, V8 350 4bbl, bucket seats, console shift,
RS gauge package, puchased with 191,000 miles. I purchased it on 10/30/94. My friend Al commonly refers
to this car as "The COCD (pronounced as cocked) Cutlass." COCD stands for
Cutlass of Catastrophic Design. This car was purchased as junk, but I saw its
hidden potential and rebuilt it. This car ran without problems for years. I
sold it to my friend Al on 10/7/95. He drove it into almost the same condition I bought it in. I
later repurchased this cutlass. This cutlass is also Cutlass 9.

see Al, who drove this car into the ground!
Cutlass 8
1988 Olds Cutlass Classic, color burandy, V8 307 4bbl, with American Racing rims;
purchased with 71,000 miles, still going at 119,000 miles. This car has had
several upgrades, including replacing the front bench seats with bucket seats,
replacing the column shift to console shift, 225 15 60 white letter "Cheetah"
low profile tires, and dual flow-master mufflers with 3" chrome tips. This Cutlass was sold, and picked up by the new
owner on 10/13/2000. Visit the
Cutlass8 photo gallery.
Cutlass 9
1980 Olds Cutlass Calais, which is the same as Cutlass 7. I repurchased this car on 1/18/97. This
cutlass was sitting in Al's back yard and had not been driven in months, and
at the time I repurchased it, the odometer read 221,000 miles. This car suffered many painful events in Al's
care, including having a tree fall on the roof and trunk in the blizzard of
'97. On the date of repurchase, I proceeded to replace the ignition, and
fluids, and soon after I did some bodywork/rust repair. This cutlass ran well until the transmission
went. The joke about this cutlass was that Al again was driving this as his full time car, as I loaned it to him!
This car was returned to me in May of 1998 with many new parts that Al installed. After a hard decision, I decided as part of purchasing Cutlass 11, that I would junk this car. It had sat from 5/98 to 4/99 and basicly the body, floor, and bumpers had rotted away. I stripped it on 4/17/99 & it was towed away on a flat bed truck 4/19/99. It lived a good life.

1980 Cutlass photo gallery, or
see Al, who once let a tree fall on this car, but was better during
his second term of ownership with this car.
Cutlass 10
1987 Olds Cutlass 442, color 2 tone grey and silver -V8 307 4bbl, with bucket seats, console
shift, RS gauge package, power everything, tilt steering, rare fiber optics marker light package, chrome factory mags with white
letter tires 215 15 50 tires, and T-Tops! Purchased with 92,000 miles.
This car is excellent and currently has 120,000 miles.
I bought this car on a business trip to Massachusetts. I had such a miserable
flight on Northwest Airlines, that I chose to buy a car and drive back instead
of fly back to Ohio. I sold this car to help pay for the restoration of Cutlass 14. Visit the
Olds 442 photo gallery.

Cutlass 19
1968 Olds Cutlass S convertible, original color is a Gold Jade which is like a dark green, I have the numbers matching
V8 350 2bbl but it is stuck so it is sitting in my garage. I put in a '70 V8 350 with 4bbl and it has lots of
Edlebrock parts on it. The car also has the original auto Powerglide trans, power top, factory air conditioning,
power brakes 139,000 miles. I was fixing it up and driving it summer of 2002, but then bought Cutlass 21
so now I had to sell this car, and you can see pictures here.

I had my eye on this car for almost a year and finally got the opportunity to purchase it. This car is replacing
Cutlass 17.
Pictures available Cutlass 20 are here. I owned this car for about 6 months and my friend Joe M
decided he wanted to buy it. So I sold it to him. He drove it about 1000 miles and parked it for the winter. Then come
Spring, he was thinking of selling it. So I made a deal to buy it back. I drove the car another 1000 miles and my friend
Joe V wanted to build an 88 Hurst Aero car from an 88 Cutlass Supreme Classic with T-Tops. We ended up talking about him
buying the car and now its his. This car is now in Florida and he is in the process .

Cutlass 24
1986 Cutlass Supreme. This car had 47,300 when I bought it - this car was super clean, elderly owned and always garaged.
I bought it as the 2nd owner. This car was almost optionless, not even a trunk light or engine bay light, no wiring provisions
for either as well! I sold it at 49K. See pictures of it here.
Predictions say that Cutlass 25 will be an 83 or 84 HO with T-Tops. Time will tell which.
Here is a simple chart with pictures of cars I still own as well as
some that I no longer own.
